Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Pennli mobile application and related services provided by New Dev Way.

Last updated: September 2, 2026 App: Pennli Contact: [email protected]

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pennli mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms supplement any terms that apply through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

1. Provider

The App is provided by:

New Dev Way
Registered in Poland
NIP: 6272763927

2. Use of the App

Pennli is a personal budgeting tool. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.

The App is intended for use by individuals who are able to enter into a binding agreement under the law of their country. If you are below that age, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree not to:

  • use the App in an unlawful manner;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • circumvent, disable, or interfere with subscription checks, purchase verification, or other technical protection measures;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or to any third-party service the App relies on;
  • redistribute, resell, sublicense, or make the App available to others as a service.

3. What Pennli Is and Is Not

Pennli helps you plan and record your own spending using an envelope-based method. Every figure in the App comes from what you enter yourself.

The App does not connect to your bank, card, or any financial institution. It does not import transactions automatically, does not access your financial accounts, and does not move, hold, or transfer money.

Pennli does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Budgets, projections, goal forecasts, summaries, and any other calculations are informational aids based solely on the data you enter. They are not a recommendation to take or refrain from any financial decision, and you remain solely responsible for your own financial choices.

Where the App lets you choose a currency, that choice affects how amounts are labelled and formatted only. The App never applies an exchange rate and never converts amounts between currencies.

4. No Account, and Where Your Data Lives

Pennli does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide an email address to use its budgeting features.

Your budget data — envelopes, income, transactions, goals, notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that holds your budget data, and we cannot read, restore, or recover it.

This has consequences you should understand before relying on the App:

  • deleting the App, erasing the device, or resetting the App's data will delete your budget data permanently;
  • we cannot recover data that has been deleted or lost, including after device loss or damage;
  • your data may be included in backups you create yourself through Apple or Google device backup, under those providers' terms rather than ours.

The App provides an export function that produces a CSV file of your recorded transactions, which you may save or share using your device's standard sharing options. You are responsible for where you send that file. The App also provides a function to delete all of your data from the device.

5. Subscriptions, Lifetime Access, and Free Trials

Full use of the App requires paid access ("Premium"), offered as an auto-renewing subscription and, where available, as a one-time lifetime purchase.

Purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are managed with the help of RevenueCat. Prices, billing periods, trial length, and payment terms are shown by the applicable store before you confirm a purchase, and the store — not us — charges you and holds your payment details.

For auto-renewing subscriptions:

  • the subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends;
  • your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period;
  • you can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings; uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription;
  • where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial period.

A lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that grants access for as long as the App remains available on your platform. It is not a promise that the App will be published, supported, or operable indefinitely.

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their applicable rules and policies, subject to any rights you may have under applicable law, including any statutory right of withdrawal. We are generally not able to issue refunds for store purchases ourselves.

We may change our pricing or the composition of Premium features over time. Changes do not affect a billing period you have already paid for, and any price change to an ongoing subscription is subject to the notice and consent rules of the applicable store.

6. Notifications

If you allow it, the App may send you a single notification shortly before a free trial ends, so that you can decide in time whether to continue.

The App does not send daily reminders, streak nudges, or prompts to log spending. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

7. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services to operate certain features. These may include:

  • Apple App Store and Google Play for distribution and purchases;
  • RevenueCat for purchase management and subscription verification;
  • Google Firebase for crash diagnostics and limited analytics.

Your use of these services may also be subject to their own terms and policies. What is collected, and why, is described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

Pennli, including its software, artwork, illustrations, icons, typography choices as implemented in the App, copy, user interface, branding, and other original content, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App. They do not transfer ownership of the App or its content to you.

The budget data you enter remains yours. We claim no ownership of it.

9. Availability and Changes

We may update, modify, add, or remove features as the App evolves.

We may temporarily suspend parts of the App for maintenance, security, technical problems, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available or that the App will operate without interruption. Features that depend on a network connection — including purchase verification — may be unavailable when your device is offline or when a third-party service is disrupted.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it, and you may cancel a subscription at any time through the applicable store.

We may restrict access to paid features where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security issues, violations of these Terms, or applicable legal requirements.

If the App is withdrawn from a store or discontinued, we will not intentionally disable budget data already stored on your device, and the export function is intended to let you take your records with you.

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, the accuracy of any calculation, projection, or summary, or the preservation of data stored on your device.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of the App, including financial decisions taken on the basis of information shown in the App, or loss of data stored on your device.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

12. Privacy

Information about how Pennli collects and processes data is described in our Privacy Policy, available from the App and our website.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when the App, our services, or applicable legal requirements change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently revised.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Polish law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in the country where you live.
